I get by with a little help from my friends.

An email that I sent out this week when I realized that I am folding my right arm to my chest a little to much and it is getting harder and harder to keep it straight. It finally dawned on me that I could not consiously do this by myself. My habit is too far gone.

Subject: I give you all permission to tell me if you see me do this

Girls,
You are all my good friends here at work and I need you to help me with this. I give you all permission to tell me to put my right arm down if you see me holding to my chest, or even if I am carrying something and using my right arm to support the object. I am getting into this awful habit of flexing my arm up and when I do this unfortunely I am causing my muscles to seize up and getting harder and harder to keep the arm straight. So I know this sounds weird, but could you all give me a friendly reminder, if I sitting at my desk or walking down the building and tell me to put my arm down. I will not take offense, I just need help in being reminded because half of the time I don’t even know I am doing it. And my friendly physicians are starting to get mad at me for this.
Thank you for your help.

Responses:
Jaimie: Anything for chance to boss you around.
Sarah: You are dork, but remember I have my eyes on you.
Charlene: Put your arm down right now. (FYI, I did.)
Tatum: why didn't you ask sooner of course I will remind you.
Hiedi: We will help you that is what friends are for.

We all need a little extra help sometimes. Even if it is a retaining wall or just a pat on the arm. Take it when is offered. Who knows when it will be offered again.
